The Canadian Celiac Association Kingston Chapter was incorporated on October 20,
2002 to help support people with celiac disease in Kingston and Eastern Ontario.
As our name implies, we are part of the Canadian Celiac Association.
We are committed to building a strong celiac community through events, awareness,
education, and more. As well as providing information on our website, we stay in
contact with and help those with celiac disease in Kingston as they develop strategies
to manage their condition.
The Canadian Celiac Association supports our chapter with tools and resources.
The Kingston Chapter serves people adversely affected by gluten with education, support,
social events, and a variety of programs for all ages.
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease where the surface of the small intestine
that absorbs nutrients from food is damaged by a substance called gluten.
We offer support to people diagnosed with celiac disease by providing information
about celiac disease and about how to live with celiac disease in Kingston You’ll
find resources to help you understand and manage a gluten free diet, as well as advice
on where to shop and eating out at restaurants.
